Busy three-year olds will love to “play” like their parents do, with LeapFrog’s Text & Learn, a just-for-kids learning PDA.
Games that focus on letter recognition and QWERTY keyboard skills—with pal Scout right there to help—are only part of the fun with Text & Learn, which lets preschoolers exchange text messages with Scout, check Scout’s planner to see what his week en”tails,” and explore in a pretend browser mode. Other learning activities include letter matching and shape identification.

Mason, my 4-almost-5 year old boy has a riot with this toy. Because his mummy is clumsy and distracted, the kids have 3 old BlackBerry devices that they used to play with. Not any more! Mason only plays with Text and Learn. He told his younger sister, "BlackBerry isn't fun Sadie. It doesn't talk to you!". Great toy!
My son Jack, at just 21 months, doesn't grasp the full capabilities of this toy. I know this is one he will grow into. But he still has fun pressing the buttons and hearing the different sounds. The best part about this toy though is that I really like it. It explores letter names and sounds and shows different images on the screen that my son can interact with. I know he will like this one as he gets older.
Sounds like a cool toy!
