For the first time ever in Canada, the stars come out to shine in a power-packed hour-long live show when Playdate with Max & Ruby, Miss Spider, and Bananas in Pyjamas, hosted by The Fairly OddParents comes to the Music Hall on Danforth on Sunday, May 24 at 11 AM.
Presented by Sphere Entertainment, winner of the 2009 Festivals and Events Ontario Award for Best children's Entertainment, Playdate is a musical storytime featuring some of Treehouse TV's best-known characters. Kids - and parents - are invited to laugh at Max & Ruby's antics, dance and sing along with Miss Spider and her Buggy Bunch, and even join the Bananas in Pyjamas in their adventures! This fun presentation is hosted by zany fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents.
Irrepressible Max and his older, smarter sister Ruby have charmed preschoolers and their parents for almost a decade. Their humour, determination and affection for each other ultimately help them triumph over the challenges of being little.Created by internationally acclaimed children's author and illustrator Rosemary Wells, the duo has appeared in more than 25 picture books and provided the creative base for the popular TV series, Max & Ruby, which airs across Canada on Treehouse TV and in French Canada on SRC.
Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, the hottest new show around, has children buzzing with glee! She's all about family, fun, adventure, acceptance and friendship. The adorable multi-media "edu-taining" show segment features local kids on stage with the musical host in interactive songs from the TV show and dances, ending with an energetic Buggy Conga line!
The Bananas in Pyjamas are from the hit Australian children's TV show, enjoyed by 100 million fans worldwide. They are adorable, mischievous twin bananas, B1 and B2, in striped pyjamas who have delightful adventures in an upbeat, interactive musical world filled with situational comedy.
From the highly-rated edgy YTV show The Fairly OddParents come Cosmo and Wanda, fairy Godparents who wreak magical mayhem by granting extraordinary wishes.
Combined, these TV friends create a one-hour (no intermission) magical experience for pre-schoolers and the young-at-heart.
