This week I head off on the last tour in the McDonald's All-Access Moms tour, it has been an experience I won't soon forget for so many reasons. On this leg of the tour we are going to London Ontario to visit the Cargill Chicken facility. There we will see the whole process of how the most popular McDonald's meal choice (at least in my house) the McNugget is made as well as other chicken menu options. I have to admit although the ingredients are all listed, I really would like to know exactly what goes into a chicken McNugget...and why they have to be made in that shape and with some sort of paste...or whatever it is?! I'm off to solve the mystery of the McNugget.
We have also been invited to visit the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in London. I had the chance to visit the world's largest RMH in Toronto (@rmhtoronto) last week. It is a beautiful, well thought out, friendly space that will help over 80 families at a time, a big leap from the 21 families the old house could hold. I had a friend who's baby arrived early and was sent to a hospital over an hour from their home. They lived in a RMH for weeks and in that stressful, scary time they were so happy to have a place that was close to their baby and made the situation much easier on them.
This is our last trip and our last chance to ask and answer any questions you may have for McDonald's, so please post them here, email them to me at mdennis AT weewelcome.ca or post your question on our Facebook page or through Twitter.
