I can remember being about nine years old and our family getting our first desk top computer, it was an Apple but it sure had nothing on the technology my kids have mastered at the ripe old ages of 6 and 4 years old. They love "working" on the computer and my 6 year old has recently discovered how to Google and the treasures of YouTube, by googling Lego Stars Wars. Like it or not technology is more than a part of our kids world it will be their world in ways we can't even imagine.
Back when I was nine my friend's dad had one of the first cell phone (you remember the ones the size of a brick) and we thought it was the coolest thing. I couldn't imagine the likes of an iphone and that my four year old can make her way so well around it that even she has discovered YouTube on my phone!
I am all for my kids being tech savvy, but I also want them to be kids and have age appropriate experiences online, that are fun and educational. Along with the mastering of technology, my kids are masters of collecting stuffed animals, or affectionately called "stuffies" around here. So we have our fair share of Webkinz, but they never really got the online connection, it was just that little too beyond their age.
My kids must not have been the only ones that loved the Webkinz stuffies but weren't ready for the Webkinz website, because our friends at Ganz have just launched an all new family of Webkinz for younger techie kiddies, WebkinzJr.com. The Webkinz Jr. were a big hit with my kids, to the point I had to fight with them to only pick one! I had to explain more than a dozen times why the rest of the super cute and colourful stuffies had to stay in the box, " I need them for other kids to try out too and let us know how they enjoy them". After they finished staring blankly at me, they are still looking longingly at the box full of their stuffies friends.
So I need to get these stuffies out of our house and off to good home with pre-schoolers that would love them and would love to try out the new Webkinz Jr. I am under very specific instructions from my kids that these stuffies require kids that will really love them, sleep, eat and play with them. If you think you have a pre-schooler that would love a Webkinz Jr. join our Wee Review Group, three lucky families will be chosen as homes for three lucky Webkinz Jr. stuffies.

My girls would love these. Each day, they each grab a new stuffed toy and it's their friend for the day. It's so cute seeing how they play. This is when I realize how great of an influence I have on them. They talk to their toys in the same manner that I talk to them.
Hope to be one of the lucky ones:)
Good luck to everyone this week! Hope it won't be hard to choose from the list Maureen.
