I am a parentpreneur to the core, here I am timing contractions while blogging for WeeWeekly. A "normal" person would put the computer down and focus on the potential life changing event that may or may not be happening in the next few hours. Due to the fact that I may or may not have this baby in the next few hours, means I really have to get this newsletter out fast!
Parentpreneurs are not normal people of course we are all a little on the crazy side in that we strive to do a little more and push ourselves beyond the expected usually for no immediate reward. Starting your own business is often compared to having a baby. You sometimes plan it and sometimes you don't, it just happens. I happen to be a planner and all my kids and my business were planned from the start.
The arrival of a new baby or a new business can wreak havoc on the family; there is an adjustment period where you need to figure out how life works with this new entity and how you juggle everything that comes along with them.
You have your good days and your bad, the days you are too proud for words and the days you wonder what the hell have you gotten yourself into but if you look and savour the little victories as a new parent or a new business owner everyday will be a little easier. That and a glass of wine...because wee work so hard at both!

Now that is dedication! I hope all goes smoothly for you until that little one arrives (as well as during and after of course!)
Good luck with everything. Now put down the laptop and go to the hospital!
Good luck Maureen. We are looking forward to seeing the new baby and how the mom is after the delivery:-)
LOL! You make me think of me!
I was on MSN with my friend across the country when I went into labour.
We were able to bring our laptop to the hospital and my husband kept everyone updated on my status via MSN as the day went. It was so exciting to have such a great communication tool that everyone could follow along to.
Yeah!! I had the glass of red wine too in labour!! It helped relax me somewhat! Sooner or later you'll have to put down that laptop! Hope things go well and we'll be excited to hear the news! All the best!
Hope the baby comes soon because we are looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing pictures of the new little one.
