The last few weeks things have gotten quite busy for us. I say for 'us' as we (my hubby and I) used to have a pretty layed back and relaxed lifestyle. That is until baby! We are in our early 30's and were quite used to our sleep ins and what do you feel like doing attitude. With our little guy as a baby, we could still do some of the things we felt when we felt. He was fairly portable. Now, with a very busy toddler life has changed yet again. It is mainly his schedule we need to follow, although I am still the type that will fit in the things I need and want to get done (i'm trying!). I still need my time and a sense of me. He is the centre of our life, but not the one and only thing.

I have been trying to work more too which has been interesting. It's a lot of work coordinating daycare, different work schedules (as a supply i'm all over the place in different schools, days, mornings, afternoons, times, grades etc). It's hard keeping it all straight and figuring out who is watching him and where and when. Plus being a one vehicle family there is the coordinating of cars and who drives who and picks up. The work has been good to help with the bills and also getting me out into the adult world and "denumbing" my foggy brain! I think I function better when I get busy. It just seems that everything (family dinners, birthdays, get togethers, workshops) are all smooshed in together at the same time. May/June always seem to be a busy time, especially as teachers. I'm really looking foward to July when it will be a month off for both of us to have some fun as a family. Can't wait!
